The National Food Lab, a premier laboratory consulting firm, is expanding its sensory evaluation department and has an opening for a Sensory Technologist.
Position Description
This position is responsible for supporting the descriptive analysis function at The National Food Laboratory in evaluating a wide variety of consumer products on a contract basis.

Position Requirements |
Key Responsibilities |
- Perform as assistant descriptive analysis panel leader
- Work with descriptive manager and panel leader to design testing protocols based upon project objectives
- Prepare for, coordinate, and administer descriptive evaluations and discrimination panels
- Review analyses, interpret results, and draft reports
- Review panelists’ performance and provide panelist feedback
- Support additional sensory functions as needed

Experience/Educational Requirements |
- B.S. in Food Science or related discipline relevant to sensory evaluation
- Working fundamental knowledge of experimental design, statistical analysis, and computers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
