Cosmin Beliciu, PhD, is a seasoned Project Leader at The National Food Lab with over a decade of experience helping food and beverage companies bring innovative products to life. With deep expertise in protein functionality, emulsion science, and project management, Cosmin partners with clients to guide projects from early-stage concepting through scale-up and commercialization. His scientific rigor and collaborative spirit have earned him multiple honors, including the Eurofins Innovation in Science Award and The National Food Lab Director’s Award.
Cosmin holds a PhD in Food Science from Cornell University, where his research focused on the stability and functionality of novel ingredients – work that continues to inform his technical approach today.
Outside the lab, Cosmin recharges by spending time in nature with his family. Whether they’re kayaking local lakes or camping under the stars, he loves making the most of the outdoors together.
