Catalin has been a valued member of The NFL since 2004. He received his PhD in Food Science at Rutgers University, and is an IFT-Certified Food Scientist. Catalin’s main areas of interest/expertise include sweeteners, powdered ingredients, proteins, beverages, cereals, other baked goods, and dairy applications.
He is passionate about product development and problem-solving, and brings to the table a strong scientific and analytical background, with valuable experience in technical writing and management.
Catalin was a contributor to three US patents, has authored 11 articles in scientific journals or trade magazines, wrote a book chapter, and has given over 30 presentations nationwide.
