Eric James is a highly accomplished Product Development professional at The National Food Lab, based in Ithaca, New York. With his technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills, Dr. James coordinates directly with clients and NFL staff to ensure that projects meet and exceed expectations.

Dr. James holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland and a BS in Molecular and Cell Biology from Pennsylvania State University. With over 20 years of experience in research and development across the confectionery, food, beverage, and nutrition industries, Dr. James is a seasoned expert in his field. His extensive work in the industry has resulted in numerous publications in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Chromatography and The Manufacturing Confectioner.

As a valued member of The National Food Lab team, Dr. James leverages his vast knowledge to provide invaluable technical guidance to projects, working closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction. He is an integral part of the Product Development team and is dedicated to driving innovation and advancing the food industry through his work at The NFL.
